Education

WAR sponsors continuing education courses that help you meet your license renewal requirements while enhancing your practical knowledge of the real estate industry.

  • Real Estate Caravan
    Caravan, sponsored by WAR, is a traveling educational opportunity that offers various opportunities for members to acquire credits required for license renewal.
  • Professional Standards Training
    WAR coordinates statewide Professional Standards Policy and Procedures training sessions in order to promote the use of the REALTORS® Code of Ethics, thereby promoting honest and equitable business practices.
  • E-Education
    WAR sponsors the e-PRO course in Wyoming. Members may take the class online, and then apply to WAR for a certificate of completion. The completed e-PRO course earns the member 15 CE hours.

Government Monitoring and Representation

Through these programs and services, WAR provides you with the means to protect private property rights promote affordable housing and benefit the real estate industry by influencing public policy and political affairs.

  • RPAC
    The REALTOR® Political Action Committee, or RPAC, provides financial support for political candidates. Contributions are voluntary, but they are critical in order to support our local, state and federal candidates who demonstrate commitment to property owners and the real estate profession.
  • Lobbying
    WAR's full-time lobbyist, along with involved REALTORS®, provides you with a consistent, influential voice at the legislature and throughout the year.
  • Government Affairs Update
    The Update, issued throughout the Legislative Session and printed in the Association Magazine, provides timely reports to brokers and local board leaders on legislative and regulatory issues affecting the industry. Updates are also available through the Get Active link on the WAR Website.
  • Calls to Action
    Calls-to-Action are urgent requests for WAR members to make contact with state Legislators or U.S. Congressmen to voice, or reinforce the REALTOR® position on pending legislation.

Public Relations and Information Services

WAR provides these useful resource publication and information services designed to enhance your abilities as a real estate professional and to promote REALTOR® concerns and accomplishments to the public.

  • ROTY/BPOY Awards
    WAR's statewide REALTOR® of the Year and Business Person of the Year programs recognize personal and professional excellence among REALTORS® and individuals in the business community.
  • WAR Website
    You can access the most current information and exchange ideas and get advice on "what works" and "what doesn't" on WAR's website. The members' only section of the website is an exclusive service that provides members with association information, on-line contracts, and education opportunities.   • Wyoming Living Network
    The REALTOR® information connection! The public accesses this site to find REALTORS® and property in Wyoming.
  • REALTOR® Image
    WAR provides public relations service through press releases, news stories, and media interviews that enhance the image of REALTORS®.
  • Trademark Monitoring
    By virtue of membership, REALTORS® are licensed to use the REALTOR® Trademark. WAR protects the integrity of trademark use and ensures that only our members use it.
  • Information Service
    WAR disseminates broadcast emails to all REALTOR® offices. You'll be "In the Know" when it comes to real estate news. Don't forget the Wyoming REALTOR® magazine, which contains articles on the latest real estate issues, practical business information and tips and Association news. Too busy to read the mail? WAR's information service is available on the website!
  • Technology Hotline
    WAR offers a technology hotline to all members. If you are having any computer problems, software problems, or any other "technical difficulties", call the hotline at 1-888-804-8223.

Local Boards and Member Services

WAR offers programs and services that enable local boards to serve you better.

  • Speakers Bureau
    WAR officers or staff members are available to speak at your local board or affiliated group meetings on real estate and Association topics.
  • Affinity Programs
    Being a REALTOR® can save you money. WAR and NAR negotiate with businesses that provide shipping, computers, car rentals and much more. Members can take advantage of the special discounts available for their day-to-day business needs.
  • Leadership Manual
    WAR offers local leaders an Association manual that includes information on policies, professional standards, education, bylaws, calendars, legislative positions, and result groups.
  • Real Estate Forms
    WAR develops and markets real estate forms to members. These forms can be accessed through Realfast on-line or downloaded to your Desktop.
  • Toll-Free Line
    An incoming toll-free line for members is available -- just call us at 1-800-676-4085.
  • Board Assistance
    WAR is the primary support resource to those local boards that do not have hired staff.

Professional Development

WAR advocates and promotes professionalism, adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, Association involvement and career growth through programs and services.

  • Annual Convention and Trade Show
    Nationally known speakers provide educational and inspirational presentations for REALTOR® professional development. Affiliate vendors showcase "what's new" to the real estate industry.
  • Institutes, Societies, and Councils
    WAR provides support for industry affiliate specialty groups.
  • Arbitration/Ethics Hearings
    As a service to its members, bound by a commitment of excellence, WAR coordinates arbitration and ethics hearings.
  • Networking
    WAR programs and functions provide opportunities for member idea exchange, referrals, and interaction in both social and business settings.
  • Result Group Involvement
    You can make a difference in your association, while ensuring personal growth and experience, by volunteering for a program or member service Result Group. Result Groups were organized to address specific needs of the organization in the areas of Association Operations, Practitioner Standards, Professional Development and Public Policy.
