Unauthorized Practice of Law - Final Rule
As a result of unprecedented input from Wyoming lawyers and members of the public, the proposed rule has been substantially amended to include several significant changes deemed by the UPL Committee to be improvements to what was put out for comment in January, including:
- • Exception for work historically performed by landmen
- • Exceptions for activities of licensed CPAs, professional engineers and surveyors
- • Exception for statutorily authorized acts by a real estate agent or broker licensed by the Wyoming Real Estate Commission
- • Revised exception for title insurance companies
The Court may amend the proposed rule in its discretion. Until an order is issued by the Court, the present rule will remain in effect.
