A Message from WAR Legal Council on Zillow And Sold Data
Wyoming is a non-disclosure state so there is no legal obligation, other than to County Clerk in the Statement of Consideration, to release any sold data, especially the sold price. Therefore, we need to spread the message throughout the state to not release any sold data, especially price.
Agents are held to a level of confidentiality with the buyer/seller or both. The sales price data cannot be released unless approved by both parties. Therefore, even if your buyer approves of the release to Zillow, you would also have to get the approval of the Seller or vice versa as releasing the information might affect either party.
